POEM 131: LIFE

Last night
seven thousand tadpoles
swam in a stagnant water
by the street corner.

Today
they float unalive
in a stagnant water
spiced with kerosine

and poor Mrs. Toad
is croaking
sadly.

Life:
the stronger
the weaker
what more can I say?
