POEM 220: SABRINA

whenever I tell Sabrina that the sun rises in the East
and sets in the West
she believes every bit of it

whenever I tell Sabrina that the earth rotates on her axis
and revolves around the sunlight
she believes every bit of it

but why does Sabrina doubt I rose from my heat
to set on her waist?

why does Sabrina doubt I spin on my axis
and revolve around her light?

someone please tell Sabrina
both truths are truer that lies
no sooner or never
another shall spin my mind

and oh dear Sabrina
shall cheer tearfully from the crowd
