POEM 141: god (after Micheal's Eros Gospel)

Holy writs and passage rites
Incarnations, creeds and cross
Libations and human sacrifice
all in the search for god.

Crescent and Baphometh
Symbols and holy lands
Voodoo and amulets
yet god's not yet found.

"Vibrating lips like guitar chords
hymnals escaping in rhythmic moans
hips rising and falling like waterfalls"
- the gospel of Eros.

I can't believe mankind's still searching for god
She's not too hard to find.
