POEM 58: I KNOW WHO I AM

They say I'm an old man
trapped in a boy earthen suit;
Whether na true dem talk or na lie,
I know who I am.

They say I'm a curious blend of reserved
a good kind of weird, crazy, loving, petty, loyal and whatnot;
Whether na true dem talk or na lie,
I know who I am.

They say I conceal smiles
in a mask of unspoken words;
Whether na true dem talk or na lie,
I know who I am.

They say I'm this, that and many other things in-between
They place labels where tags aught not to be;
Whether na true dem talk or na lie,
I know who I am.
