POEM 66: FLYING ABOVE CLOUDS
I struggle and strife
Thrusting my trembling hand
Through the surface
Or dark clouds
The warmth of sunlight
Warms my face
I feel again
My skin embracing my spirit
Whispering
'Yes, you are breaking forth!'
I looked up...
Lifting my head through cloud
Pushing through, slow yet steady
As my eyes shifts from darkness
Into the light that my face caress
to colourful light
Rainbow...
Now I know
Why whenever I open my weary eyes,
from a weary journey through the night,
all I see is sunless days
waiting for my smiles
to light up the sky.
...and I hear the whisper again
"You are just beginning,
Feel fly
But don't fold your wings
Still fly"
