Poem 38: We Need Stitches!

We've watched you dance,
sing
dine,
swing
like a stripper
whilst we stand in the backstage
of hopeless helplessness,
wishing our wishes could fish gold fishes
but when for hours spent
sinking our best bait
into the stream of the nation's wealth,
jellyfishes we get.
Just jellyfish.
Again.

Our are hearts rent
into uneven pieces,
We need stitches!
Not new dresses!

Quit firing fierce shots
past the parallel steel studs
of a lone goal post;
Posts you change
when on our favour is the game?

We; spectacle of spectators
You: pathetic players
Chasing the round head of blind dreams
like a headless chicken.
Feeding us with empty promises
and manifestos rotten!

Pilots without radar
Captains with no compass
Nude swingers...
You remote our rocking heads
towards every distraction
of your deception.

We've watched you dance,
sing
dine,
swing
like a stripper.
We know of your wiles
and the lure ab initio
of your subtle sting.
Bingo!
We are taking over our head
We are seceding from your grip
Aye!!
We've gotten our PVCs
We wail no more like the PDPs

We need stitches!
Not new dresses!
