One of the world's saddest thing is a heartbreak. All your energy leaves you and everything in your life seems to lose meaning. No dazzling sights anymore. No allure attracts your eyes and mind.

You gave your heart and soul to this love, and now it is no more. How can your heart ever be whole again without breaking into tiny pieces yet again?

There is a very deep thought attributed the Mystical Rabbi of Kotzk,
"there is nothing as whole as a broken heart".
Although a broken heart is painful, it brings a person closer to oneself. If such you're a poet, you hid in your favourite of nook and scribble with quivering quill, your heart's intents. He realizes that he is ultimately alone in the world except for yourself and God who is always there to comfort him.

January 2017: Broken Verses is a collection of micro poems I wrote today, a year ago. These poems are reflections of broken promises and hopeless wishes.

I hope you enjoy the read.

i.

Lost in thoughts
like a flashlight in the dark.
My fingers tremble
loosing grip
sinking
dying
to be born again -
stronger
wiser
better
and less insane

ii.

It hits like a tsunami
Tears down the trees
Provokes the seas
Weakens the strong
Draw tears
From the dry wells
Of a Songbird.
Melody lost
Ashes
Dust
Tear drops
On waters that still weep.
The song bird can only sigh and sing
No break
Heartbreak
Solemn voice pitch
Weak finger tips
Striking broken guitar chords
Singing
Tsunami Tsunami
Why take Illesami?

iii.
They say a problem shared
is half solved
but when mine I share
I feel hurt.
So I don't share it
I shred it
throw it into the wind
and watch with winning grin
how it struggles effortlessly against the wind.

iv.

I can't carry this alone.
I've tried.
For so long I've tried.
Though my back is breaking.
and my heart is aching
yet I'm healing.
I feel a lot stronger in my dreams
cos my happiness I unhinge
from the broken walls
of your trust.

v.

Even great hearts once had worse times.
It takes just a moment
and everything falls in line -
Just a split moment.
So smile Stefn
Everything's go'n be alright.

vi.
